Liz Tong is a Registered Art (Expressive Arts) Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of dedicated mindfulness practice. She brings a holistic approach to her therapeutic work, integrating yoga therapy, body and emotion awareness, mindfulness, and expressive arts—including drawing, drama, dance, music, and creative writing—to support individuals across a wide range of life stages and challenges.
Her clinical expertise includes stress and emotional difficulties related to SEN, depression, anxiety, attachment disorder, complex trauma, and strengthening parent-child relationships. Liz serve primary and secondary school students, working professionals, carers, women, people with intellectual disabilities, and elderly with mild cognitive impairment or dementia.
Since 2019, Liz has taught mindfulness, art, and yoga to children, supporting emotional growth and self-expression in educational settings. In 2022, she received funding from the SIE Fund on ArtsConnect, to provide 132 hours of on-site Expressive Arts Therapy for 72 students with autism and/or from low-income families, fostering social skills, confidence, and empathy. She has delivered multiple research interventions for Tung Wah College on exploring Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children, contributing to evidence-informed practice in the field.
With extensive experience in both clinical practice and community engagement (See Organizations Served), Liz focuses on empowering individuals with interpersonal connections, embodied awareness, and the transformative power of arts. Her commitment to accessibility and inclusivity ensures that therapeutic support reaches communities that are often underserved.
